It is better than last month. Couple of reasons are behind for this drop, 3-4 Storms, oil price stayed high, dollar is strong , today's unemploment data, low school shopping. Major problem is financial sector which is still trying to float, they are trying to borrow from Asia and MiddleEast. I think worse is not over yet.
Anyway, US is fighting 2 wars and 2 more wars may pop up soon. (Russia- cold, Iran)

QUOTEThe âChristianityâ that they talk about in these debates seems to me to be increasingly peculiar. While we Europeans consider faith to be a private matter, in America itâs ostentatiously paraded out front. Example: at yesterdayâs convention there were two prayers in as many hours. First, a basketball star led a prayer for flood victims during hurricane Gustav and at the close of the session a priest came on stage to lead another prayer. People rose from their seats and it got very quiet in the Minneapolis hockey arena. Itâs nearly impossible to imagine such a thing at a German political convention.

QUOTE
McCain had been courting the Christian right for several months. He scored one noticeable success in mid-August when he made a joint appearance with Obama before an important evangelical congregation in California, the Saddleback Church. He was asked at what point he believed life began â a litmus test for the religious right who consider abortion to be murder. McCain didnât hesitate and gave the devout public the only answer it considered correct: âat conception.â Obama struggled to find a similar unambiguous answer.
Â
Conservative commentators consider McCainâs appearance at the Saddleback Church to be the turning point in his relationship with the partyâs religious base. Many think Palinâs selection will serve to cement this new relationship. Itâs âan absolute bulls-eye that will energize the values voters,â according to the prominent conservative Christian political activist, Gary Bauer

QUOTEPalin Speech Moves Independents: Results of two nationwide polls conducted by SurveyUSA show Sarah Palin's speech at the Republican National Convention on the evening of 09/03/08 has helped the McCain campaign.
24 hours ago, independent voters nationwide were split on whether Palin was an asset or a liability to McCain's campaign. Today, by a 2:1 margin, independents say Palin is an asset. Overnight, the percentage calling the Alaska governor an asset to the campaign climbed 13 points; the percentage calling her a liability fell 17 points.
The numbers are similar among moderates, who 24 hours ago viewed Palin as a liability by an 11 point margin; today, Palin is seen as an asset by an 18 point margin.
Betting Line Changes: 24 hours ago, when asked if they would bet on Obama or McCain becoming president, Obama was a 16:15 favorite; today, it's flipped, and McCain is favored by the same ratio.
Grading The Speech: Of those who watched Palin speak last night, 60% give the speech a grade of "A." When those giving lower grades are factored in and a standard grade point average computed on a 4-point scale, Palin scores a "B," overall. Among Republicans, she gets an "A-;" among Independents, a solid "B;" among Democrats, a "C."
It's clear Governor Palin is having a net positive effect on the McCain campaign. It's still early, but we have good reason to be optimistic.

Clintons already told them they are busy this fall, they are dispatching Kathrine and Biden.

Pak using US funds for preparing for war against India: ObamaQUOTEAccusing Pakistan of misusing the massive American aid to fight the war on terror, Democratic nominee for the US Presidential election Barack Obama, in a sensational comment, has said Islamabad was using these funds for "preparing for a war against India".
Senator Obama vowed to hold Islamabad accountable for the massive military aid it has received from Washington if he is elected to the White House. He said his administration will increase pressure on the Pakistan to come to terms with terrorist safe havens along its northern border with Afghanistan.
"What we can do is stay focused on Afghanistan and put more pressure on the Pakistanis," Senator Obama said in an interview with Fox News.

ramana,
It only means, Kargil type of thing in order. Democrats as usual will try this, may be in Gujarat/Raj sector. If BO win, brzezinski , Half bright, Rubin will be back who thinks India can be easily changed into Serbia, Montenegro . Democrats long term policy, to make India into smaller countries.
I still can't forget speech where Bill Clinton said India will be end up like USSR or yugoslavia. (He said on Godhara day)
Currently, India leadership and media is bought by external entities.
Shame of India, Manmohan Singh is happy to get rid of "N" so that Queen and his daughter can have good life.
I think we should worry about this, don't forget BO mother worked for Asian Bank in Pakistan for 4 years and his drug, weeds buddies were Pakistanies. This slip may be, they are planing something on this regard to control Paki fundoos, best way to do is attrition according to brzezinski policy.
Now Faujis are in baracks they can do preparation.

NB: No, and her beauty queen past simply underlines her lightweight status. It doesnât exactly help her to get taken seriously, and nothing will make up for her political inexperience.
