1. Nine varsities warned of action over plagiarism probe delay

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has come hard on nine different public sector universities, including the Punjab University (PU), for delay in deciding alleged cases of plagiarism.

LAHORE : Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) on Monday suspended gas supply to all textile mills located in Punjab and NWFP for an indefinite period, impacting 75 per cent of the textile mills in the country.

3. Shortage of locomotives main cause of PR’s deficit : Bilour

ISLAMABAD : Minister for Railways Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour told the National Assembly on Monday that Pakistan Railways (PR) was facing [color="#FF0000"]a huge deficit due to dearth of locomotives.[/color]



“We are running eight to nine freight coaches of cargo from Karachi against a demand of 30. [color="#FF0000"]We have to leave the rest of cargo due to shortage of locomotives,” [/color]the minister told the House while replying to a calling attention notice.
