Priests receive him with traditional temple honours
TIRUMALA: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy offered prayers at the temple of Lord Venkateswara on Saturday.
On his arrival at the Mahadwaram he was received with the traditional `Isti kapal' temple honours and was led into the sanctum sanctorum.
Dr. Reddy also visited the `Mandapam' where the six-day `Astabandana' ritual would be performed with Ankurarpanam on Sunday. The temple priests explained to him the importance of `Astabandana', performed once in 12 years.
