Jaya out, DMK back to power in TNQUOTEChennai, May 11: DMK president M Karunanidhi is likely to take oath as CM of Tamil Nadu on May 13. The DMK is likely to head a minority government with support from allies, the Left and PMK from outside.
Major Left parties, which had an understanding with the DMK-led alliance in Tamil Nadu, today said they would extend support to the new government from outside.
"We will soon write a letter to the (Tamil Nadu) Governor extending support to the DMK to form government," CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat told reporters here, clearly indicating that they would not join government.
