There is a city "Khanna" in Punjab, but its history and origin is different.

Visiting after a long gap of almost 5 months. Found only one answer to my original question in first post. Even that answer is not related to what I am looking for! The baove answer is related to a township known as "KHANNA: in Punjab; whereas I am looking for ancestral & historic background of KHANNAs.
