Sikh society was lucky in having a leader like Master Tara Singh
Tara Singh rejected several muslim offers for a so called autonomous sikh zone within pakistan
Tara Singh also insisted on expulsion of muslims in response to muslim atrocities in west punjab
The most foolish were the bengali hindus who listened to Gandhi's fast
and did not complete the muslim expulsion
yet interestingly even they managed to reduce muslims from 30% to 20%

Master Tara Singh was a close associate of Savarkar who was the only hindu honored by the SGPC

When Master Tara Singh ran into troubles with the congress, he said the only hindu he trusted to mediate was Savarkar

By 1948, Nehru clapped both Savarkar and Tara Singh in jail

Tara Singh went on to co-found the VHP with Golwalker and Chinmayananda

The Tara Singh faction of the Akali Dal interestingly was bitterly against the khalistan movement

Per books I read, 50000 muslim women were recovered and ONLY 35000 sikh-hindu women were recovered
