<b> While the design of Avatar has been patented in India, efforts to obtain similar patents in USA, Germany, China and Russia are on. It is noteworthy that all the concepts used in Avatar have been mathematically proven and out of these, an engineering design of the vehicle has emerged. All said and done, because of the huge funds and technological complexities involved in developing the operational v ersion of Avatar, a global approach to developing it is required. </b>

<b> Dr. A.P. J. Abdul Kalam, currently scientific adviser to the Indian Prime Minister says, "The Avatar hyperplane project is a national mission. The programme is bigger than an individual or an institution. We must realize our dream of operationalising the most efficient, technologically reliable and low cost launch system, even at the cost of challenging the developed countries." </b>

Its like asking the world community "can you fund us build this nuke?"
