Why did Robert Goldman and Sheldon Pollock co-sign the Witzel letter of Nov. 8, 2005 addressed CA State Board of Education? Because of their negative contributions presented in this critical review
The compilation of articles are related to the contributions made by two professors: Sheldon Pollock and Robert Goldman who consider themselves experts in Sanskrit and a rejoinder by Rajiv Malhotra are presented in a separate document titled: " Distorting the contributions of Sanskrit and Prakrit (vernacular) languages to the evolution of Bharatiya society and samskriti " (Feb. 2006).
In my article, The California Textbook Trial, I had summarized the discrimination that Hindus face in California textbooks and their efforts to seek remedy. Vishal Agarwal had demonstrated how falsely textbooks portray Hinduism. A cabal of anti-Hindu ideologues led by Professor Michael Witzel of Harvard has been campaigning against the Hindu efforts to end discrimination. I will now demonstrate to what extent these anti-Hindu ideologues are ready to compromise with ethics in their ideologically-motivated campaign against Hindus....
In my earlier article, ?Hindus fight discrimination in California textbooks - 1,? In this article, I will examine their accusation that Hindu groups attempted to portray Hinduism as a monotheistic religion along the lines of Christianity and Islam. Is it not patronizing to claim that Hindus want to model their religion after Christianity or Islam? Never mind, let us see the validity of this accusation....
Those who cling to IEL as a belief system, skid on slippery ground of the ice age (with zero evidence from any European text) ? it is all melting ice and gas, paraded as pseudo-science. IEL 'Laws' (which are merely a few observations) are adumbrated to cover up the non-falsifiable nature of linguists' claims, governed by belief in Biblical creationism and Tower of Babel....
This letter was mailed on Martin Luther King Day in 2007. No response was received from Harvard. Now this is an open letter to the Provost of Harvard published on October 2nd, 2007 on the Gandhi Jayanti Day to be recognized by the UN as the International Peace Day. Persecution by pen of any group is a form of violence that needs to be exposed and curtailed. Harvard needs to take a lead in this effort....
